EXPOSURE EQUALITY FOR DEVELOPMENT


The Delegation of the Valencian Community Help Action has organized, with funding from the Gereralitat Valenciana, the exhibition 'Equality for Development: Women's Rights, Human Rights. " The exhibition will remain on display from 6 to April 16 will be located in the center of the Solidarity Foundation and the Volunteer of the Comunitat Valenciana (FOUND) available in Alicante, in the C / Serrano, 5 low.

exposure consists of eight panels which takes a tour of the situation in which human rights are women and girls in the developing countries, mainly in six areas: economics, education, health, violence, politics and food sovereignty. Each panel is based on a key concept for understanding the relationship between poverty, development and gender inequality, data on the situation of women and girls, and a brief to understand the context of these realities.

's experience over 27 years of the Foundation ActionAid has helped to understand that any policy, program or project affects women and men differently. Attention to gender equality is essential to achieving sustainable human development.

Therefore, if we eliminate poverty we must overcome the obstacles that limit the capabilities of people, obstacles such as gender inequalities intensify poverty, perpetuated from generation to generation and undermine the capacity of women, men, boys and girls to overcome. If people in poverty are continuously denied their human rights, women in poverty are denied these rights in poor condition and status of women.

With this exhibition, we intend to focus on poverty from a gender perspective, not only right but also because this approach produces social and economic benefits that encourage the development of societies.
